Dolls and Babies

If it's not this project, it's a cake baby.
Going back and forth between 2 animations at random times today.
Something I haven't seen before happened with the symbols on this kneeling doll.
The textures stay in place even though the symbols do not. Why is this?

Walk Cycle Exported

Exported it for kicks.
Frame rate is slowed for some reason...

Walk Cycle Continued

I took about an hour today to finish animating the first wooden doll walking.
It was tedious, but actually fun. I was sure I'd hate this after I made the storyboard.
This might have been one of the hardest parts actually, since the two dolls mostly stand through the animation.

Starting the Dolls

Storyboard, and the hardest walk cycle I've done yet. Grrr...
Will work more later...

Class Feb 24:

Today I finished the Ultrashine commercial and started building my wooden doll character for my next animation. For the next class I will have another character built as well as a completed storyboard.

Next Project

For my next project, I will be making a story out of these characters, done in a style similar to my Little Red Riding Hood animation from last year. This idea is another way I'm trying to get away from my usual style.
I need to make a storyboard so I know exactly what is happening.

The Ultrashine animation will be completed in class on Thursday.
All I need to do is add some more sounds to it.

Return Of The Fish Bones

What little bits of the Ultrashine animation I have left I will finish Tuesday.

Unrelated to that, here's a new animation:

Feb 15 Class Time

I'm on the last part of the animation.
Today in class I did everything for it except the mouths, and I also tested out a scene with a green background to make sure it would key right on FinalCut. Everything seems to be working.
I will likely finish the mouths tomorrow.

Feb 12

The other day I was busy with other things and today
I finished the next scene as planned:

I had no idea how to do that toothpaste squirting out at first.
I made 3 layers just for that.
Next time I progress on this I think I will animate Toothy leaving. It will be similar to how he first appears.

Give Ultrashine A Try!

Feb 10:

I worked about an hour today on the animation.
That's not as much as I wanted to, but I'll make up for that over the weekend when I finish the next scene, which is Toothy squirting out some toothpaste to try.

Class Time Feb 8

Today I finished what I started over the weekend. This is the result.

I don't have as much animation left to do as I thought I did.
I know I'm still not looking forward to placing it all in FinalCut.

Runaway Tooth

Today, I spent about 2 hours, 15 minutes on another Toothy animation.
It's on a still background for the moment, but it will be placed on footage of me begging him to come back and give me shiny, shiny teeth.

Feb 3 Class

In class today I figured out how to get the Chroma Key working the way I needed it to.
Hopefully I won't have that problem again when I go to put Toothy on some footage. In order to do that, I need to finish him first. I worked a lot on him in class but didn't finish everything I expected to, so over the weekend I will pick up where I left off today.

SEE The Difference

Feb 2 10:15-1:40:
I don't care if the groundhog sees his shadow or not, it doesn't change the fact that there's a 2-story-tall pile of snow outside my house!

I was lazy yesterday, so I made up for it today by finishing another short Toothy animation.

Toothy Sample

I didn't actually do any work on this today, but here's a little sample of what I have done so far.
